The Howl of 2009

As time goes on
this generation
is lazier than ever
Many could of had a future
but there is one in particular
loved construction
and working with his hands
Starting to distance himself
getting new friends
The kinds of friends
who waste away
their lives with drugs
Lost his job
and ditched school
When this bear
can't reach the honey nest
he is furious with rage
that honey is like his fix
his friends are not true to him
if this did not exist
neither would their friendship
Sometimes I feel that one individual
is all it takes
You take out a leg, and we all fall
like the legs of a tripod
We all get lazier everyday
the earth is speeding its way
of deteriorating
It is all because you us
We are lazy
We make bad choices
Too lazy to go out of our way
to simply reuse resources
or simply make a change
in our lives
We all are afraid of the change
they say it is wrong
just to make themselves feel better
they would rather spend their time
spending money on useless possesions
they need their material comfort
